Philanthropy (philo/anthropos) Greek words for friend of humanity. This Daraja "Global Girl" necklace was created by Maria-Tina to support the high school education of exceptional girls at Daraja Academy in Kenya.
You will get your own original and unique but similar version because the one pictured has been sold! A portion of profits will be donated directly to Daraja Academy.
Maria-Tina hand hammered, and hand cut the sterling silver Africa pendant, beads and signature clasp. She has also used some of her favorite vintage beads that she has collected from all over the globe including a Greek donkey bead (bright blue) for good luck, hand made beads from India, and gemstones like amethyst, turquoise, green garnet symbolizing and honoring global arts and cultures.
Please see more of our Daraja collection for beautifu pieces that complement this necklace. A percentage of profits will be donated to Daraja Academy. Read more on our Blog.
