IRIS: Communication & New Endeavours
Iris was the beautiful ancient Greek Goddess of the Rainbow, which she rode to deliver messages between Gods of Mount Olympus and the Earth. She is prominent in the Iliad where it is said that her Golden Wings were so bright they could drive the darkness from the deepest caverns of Hades. Once she even made the wife of Romulus immortal with just the touch of one finger.
This precious ancient bronze Iris pendant enhances communications and supports new endeavors. The metal pieces are hand cast from my hand fabicated originals by a woman artisan in San Francisco and the sparkling beads are sourced through an Indian family that I've worked with for over 15 years. I hand finish and assemble each piece with lots of love!
The IRIS pendant, beads and Open Heart are hand cast in ancient bronze from my original hand made pieces. The center cabachon is Kingman Mine turquoise, the drop is amethyst and the necklace is made of faceted rondelle gemstone beads of carnelian, citrine, peridot, turquoise, lapis, amethyst, rhodolite, garnet and a surprise hematite star. It is paired in the photo with my ATHENA SHIELD earrings.
